I went to my friend’s house and saw this awesome
looking case fan. It was when these fans first start to come out
and to my surprise; I didn’t know what it was. My friend
beat me this time. Back to the topic, I started to ask him what
it was and he told me that it was an UV Sensitive Fan. When he
disconnected the fan so that I could have a better look at it,
it just amazed me. The sensitivity was overwhelming. He has a
blue UV fan but after disconnecting the fan it looked like a pale
yellowish type fan. I immediately went online to order myself
one of these beauties.
I received the package in couple of days from xoxide.com
I opened the package and there it was the pale looking, supposed
to be a blue UV sensitive fan. I went right away and installed
the fan. I have 2 UV lights in my computer. One is green and the
other one is blue. I removed the blue one to look at the results
but they weren’t that good, the color of the blue UV fan
was a little distort and blue color was not as bright. After that
I removed the green light and put in the blue one. As soon as
I plugged in my blue UV light, it was magic. The fan looked marvelous.
It was bright as sunshine. To test out this fan, I have removed
my 3 other fans so for this review I will be running one 80MM
fan and this UV fan.

I bought my fan from xoxide.com
it came with both the motherboard 3-pin connector as well as the
Molex connector for the power supply. It also came with 4 screws
just like any fan. In the features picture above, you can see
that this fans was could run @ 2400 rpm since this is a 80MM fan.
We first installed this fan in our overclocked system and ran
the fan at various speeds. 80MM fans are considered to be little
cousins of 120MM ones so we were really testing for the noise
level as well as good performance.
I was manually controlling the fan with my fan controller
so that I could test out the performance as well as the noise
level. I started out with 1000 rpm, the fan was quite as a mouse
and the difference in temps was bearable. Next came 1500 rpm,
at this stage we started to notice a little increase in noise
but it was very low and the performance was great. This fan managed
to drop the temperature of case by 4.67 degrees. After that I
pumped up this fan to its fullest, which was 2400 rpm, surely
the noise level was going to increase but to tell you the truth
the fan was pretty quite and my case didn’t sounded like
the jet crashing and the performance was great. It managed to
drop 6.23 degrees from my case.

In Conclusion, this fan was very very easy to install.
When I took the case to my friend’s house for a little LAN,
it was the center of attention among the party, which tells us
that this fan is extremely bright and attractive. UV fans come
in wide assortment of colors however, it is adivsed that you use
the same color UV light as your UV fan. It is just like any other
fan but with a UV light to go with this, you will have one good
lookin’ case. Although everything is great about this fan
except for 2 things. First is the noise level. It was pretty quite
compared to some cheap fans out there but my other 80MM which
has no brand was still a tiny bit quieter than this one running
at the same speed. Second is when you use a different colored
UV light with a different color UV fan. That is when the fan is
not as bright and seems to be a different color.
Pros:
Led/UV Sensitive
Dual ball bearings
Low noise level
Excellent performer
Cons:
Little noisy compared to the other fan I have in my case
Color dissortion when used with a different colored UV light
CoolTechZone Ultimate
Decision = 8.5/10
