Gigabyte:

Next, we visited the Gigabyte Booth, in which they were showcasing the company's GFX 5950 graphics card along with few motherboards based on the AMD platform. These motherboards ranged from a Dual-Opteron server board to the latest chipsets based motherboards that are currently available for the AMD platform.
Gigabyte provided some insight on the hardware and where it is heading. Gigabyte received their sample motherboards, based on the Alderwood and Grantsdale chipsets, last week from Intel, which according to Gigabyte is a delay on Intel's part. When asked if it would cause delays in retail motherboards to arrive in the market, Gigabyte stated that Intel is not likely to be delayed in their retail motherboard shipment, however, other vendors might face little delays. The reason for delays on Intel's side is not known.
Apparently, Intel was not the only one causing delays in sample motherboards, ATi too delayed the shipment of their GPUs to Gigabyte. This means that the shipments of the retail Gigabyte X800 series cards are likely to delay as well, but not by much time, as Gigabyte stated.
Gigabyte is also not excited about the upcoming DDR-II technology and expects the transition to be really slow as users will be paying a premium for DDR-II modules for less or competitive performance, but if you are looking to purchase Intel's high-end chipset based motherboard, you will have to get DDR-II memory modules. AMD also pointed out this fact during one of the presentations to get system integrators to retail AMD microprocessors and AMD based systems.
