Asus:

Then we visited the Asus Booth, in which Asus was showcasing their routers, motherboards, and handhelds. Asus informed us of the Socket 939 retail motherboard that was on display.

Asus too was skeptical of the DDR-II memory standards. They also reported the transition to be a slow one. Asus didn't face delays on the sample motherboards from Intel, which are based on the Alderwood and Grantsdale chipsets as we didn't heard much about it. Asus did hinted the launch date of the LGA775 chips to be very close to June 21st.

BTX form factor, which will slowly replace the current SFF (Small Form Factor) standards is something that Asus and others are really excited about. Asus expects the BTX technology to debut in late 2004 or in Q1 2005, however, it is far too early to know the exact date.

Gigabyte is not the only one experiencing delays from ATi with their GPUs shipments, Asus received their stock last week and expects to face some delays in retail units. The delays are not something to be worried about at this point.
