Microsoft, world's largest software maker, is preparing to file an appeal of the European Commission's anti-trust verdict against the Washington based software company.
According to Financial Times, Microsoft will file a 100-page file, which will appeal the overturn of the charges filed by the commission.
The software giant is also filing a seperate report so that it doesn't have to abide by the commission's demands. The effect will take place in three weeks.
As a punishment for foreclosing competition, the European Commission demanded that Microsoft should offer a version of Windows without the Media Player software. The commission also wants the software giant to share code data with rivals after 30 days and pay $608 million fine.
Microsoft's appeal for suspension is important as it could take five to six years for the appeal to decide.
However, the decision could come during this summer upon Microsoft's request.
