Acer, Taiwan based notebook maker, launched its two new notebooks - Aspire 1800 and TravelMate 3200.

CoolTechZone sources reported the new models to be more stylish than Acer's current notebook line. Both Aspire 1800 as well as TravelMate 3200 have round edges and metallic looking exterior.

Acer wants to incorporate the designs in their upcoming models, but are looking for consumer feedback on the design with the Aspire 1800 and TravelMate 3200 notebooks.

Acer Aspire 1800 is targetted towards home-users and features 17-inch TFT-LCD monitor. The notebook also comes with a remote control, which will fit into the notebook's PCMCIA card slot when not in use.

The TravelMate 3200 is more for business users with portability and thin and light design as Acer's main priority.

Both notebooks has a key that can be used to launch Acer's System Utility, which include power management functions, display settings, and security and boot features.

The notebooks are expected to hit the market in Q3 2004. Further hardware specifications and configurations were not provided by Acer at the moment, however, they will be released at Computex, which will take place in Taipei, Taiwan. We expect the specifications to be average especially considering that Acer has already announced its targetted audience.

Last Friday, Acer announced its Ferrari 3200 notebook, an updated version of the company's Ferrari 3000 notebook, which was launched last October (2003).

The Ferrari 3200 is coated in Red paint with representation of the Formula One Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro racing team. The Ferrari 3200 notebook is based on AMD's Athlon 64 processor, 512MB DDR system memory, 80GB hard disk drive, DVD drive, and ATi's Mobility Radeon 9700 graphics card with 128MB DDR memory. The notebook also comes with integrated 802.11G wireless standard and Bluetooth connectivity, while using a 15-inch TFT-LCD monitor.

Acer did not disclose the pricing and availability of the Ferrari 3200 notebook, targetted for the high-end consumers.
